Simply Audiobooks is a great service brought to market by a merger between the original Simply Audiobooks brand and its partner site, Recording Books. Users of the service have access to more than 25,000 titles, including a number of bestellers (even at the time of their release in print in the shops!) and a range of additional media such as radio shows, podcasts, comedy shows and more. What’s more, with a range of different membership options, Simply Audiobooks users can choose to pick up a book every week or once a year – it’s that simple.  

Simply Audiobooks offers members a choice of three different membership types, giving them the chance to choose how they use the service. First, there’s the rental service that gives members the chance to choose up to four books per month to be sent to their designated address on a rolling basis. When a user is finished with a particular book, they simply return it to Simply Audiobooks and their next requested title will follow shortly afterwards, much like film-rental services such as LoveFilm. It’s also worth noting that, unlike some services, with Simply Audiobooks there are no late fees and no due dates – simply take as much (or as little) time as you like to get through the book you have chosen without having to worry about being charged extra for any delays!

Alternatively, members can opt for a download membership which works in much the same way as that at the number 1 site in this category, Audible, by giving each subscribed member “credits” to spend on book downloads each month. As expected, unlike with rental membership, users can keep their downloads afterwards and enjoy them over and over again. Finally, Simply Audiobooks also offers an “a la carte” style membership option, whereby users simply choose the books they wish to purchase on a more casual basis.

As well as a choice of membership options, Simply Audiobooks is also brimming with a range of fantastic features, too. Members who opt for the instant download membership option can choose from either MP3 or M4B file deliveries, with both formats working on almost every portable music player and many mobile phones. Browsing for books on the site couldn’t be easier either, regardless of which membership style you opt for, with all users being able to take advantage of the easy search function. Finally, if you enjoy using the Simply Audiobooks service, you can encourage family members and friends onto the site by buying a gift subscription or gift card for a special occasion.
