I have been enrolled with Audible for several years now and must agree with all the previous reviews in that the selection and technology is terrific! Have no complaints about that.

Let it be said, I buy quite a few books...at least 6 or 8 a month. The credits are handy for this.

However I am also pretty picky about what I spend my time listening to. Therefore I have had to return books quite often when they don't live up to the description given. The question is how often is too often? I average about two a month that I return. Is that too much? Based on the volume of purchases that I don't return, I would think not.

Sad to say, I have hit the point where I can no longer return using the traditional return route and must now call customer service to do so with the clear threat they may cancel my membership.

I believe this is harsh and unnecessary and am very unhappy about this.

Other than that, they are the best for audio books.....just don't get picky.

In summary, I would recommend Audible to a friend.

I've been a platinum subscriber (two credits per month for $22.95) to Audible since 2009 and don't plan to unsubscribe. Audible is amazing for the features listed above, but there are other great features also. For example,
- You can get a "daily deal" email in which they greatly reduce an audiobook for 24 hours. Prices range from $0.99 to $6.95.
- From time to time, I've selected a real clunker of a book and if you contact Audible, they'll refund the credit or issue a refund to your credit card - I hope people don't abuse this and spoil it for the rest of us :-)
- They have sales for specific books fairly frequently - sometimes a "two books for one credit" or simply a reduced price.

I love Audible and have no hesitation about giving it my highest recommendation.

In summary, I would recommend Audible to a friend.

GOOD: easy to use, easy to listen to, the audio is decent quality, the selection is pretty strong, the interface of the app is really good, you can see your iTunes library from the Audible app...technically it's an audiobook listeners' dream...however

BAD: it's kind of EXPENSIVE, no rental option...the deals aren't that good. Needs a better deal for members. I would like an unlimited membership...Then I would give it 5 stars. Economically it's not a listeners' dream. But here I am paying for it, so I guess it can't be that bad. LOL

In summary, I would recommend Audible to a friend.
